July 10, 2024 - New Money!
I saw the new Japanese 1,000 yen the other day as I work part-time as a cashier at a drugstore. Since I'm used to Noguchi Hideo, I was a little confused, but I was able to use it properly!
To be honest, I prefer the previous design. I'm sad to think that it will be getting newer and newer.

By the way, I found an article about new banknotes in other countries. It is “King Charles banknotes enter circulation”.
The portrait of the new banknote was announced in 2022, but circulation began in the UK at a slower pace on June 5, 2024.
Shoppers can still use current circulating £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes carrying the portrait of the late Queen. Those who wish to do so can exchange the old bills for the new ones at the counter of the Bank of England in the U.K. and other places.
There use the same portraits as in Japan, but I think there are very cool. The portraits are stylish and the backgrounds are very good, but they only use the same portraits. However, uses three portraits, all with different designs in Japan. The technology is advanced, and there are made in such a way that there cannot forgery. I don't like it yet, but I hope to like it in the next 20 years.
In Japan and in the UK, banknotes are increasingly not used. I'm cashless in my payments, but I like paper money itself. I hope that banknotes will not disappear in the future.💸💸💸
It is interesting to hear younger people like the older designs! Maybe you have nostalgia for childhood already?
