June 12, 2024 - My First Post!

Hello everyone! My name is Megumi! Let me introduce a little about me.

I live in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture but when I was a child, I lived in Tokyo. I love Yokohama so I go to Minato Mirai and Kannai once a month. There is so many famous sightseeing, I recommend you go to there.

I like to watch YouTube and take a walk. Recently, I’m addicted to watch live video game streaming! For example, Kiyo and Ushizawa, member of Nizisanji’s MECHATU-A, and so on! In addition, I listen to music and study English on YouTube. I’m interested in my health and trying to move my body. I make it a habit to walk for an hour along the river and exercise.However, I love sweets! I ate a lot of sweets for lunch today…

My birthday is December 1st! I will be 20 years old this time. I’m looking forward to being able to drink!!

    I like Minato Mirai! I Watched a movie once about the expo in 1989 where Minato Mirai opened. Thanks for joining the class!

   The most important thing about my experience in this class is that I used a lot of English. It was a new experience for me to use English to communicate my thoughts and research on various genres, and I struggled it.    I have two favorite topics .  One is " June 26, 2024 - Let's Eat! ". It was the first time I had ever looked up escargot in English, and it was also the first time I had ever learned that SAIZERIYA had an English version of their menu!😯  The second is" July 1, 2024 - Game On! ". I was also surprised to learn that the names of the characters in Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Horizons is different between the Japanese and English versions!😮  Furthermore, it was very interesting to see that even when talking about the same topic, each person had different content and opinions. July 22, 2024 - What is News to You?

 The surprising news for me was that “ The BBC joins Paris mayor for swim in cleaned-up Seine ”. I was not surprised by the fact that she swam the river; I was surprised that she swam for the Olympics. I have doubts if the Seine is really safe and how open water swimming and triathlons will be held. It is the first time in about a century people have been allowed to swim in the river, with it set to host open-water swimming and triathlon events as part of the games - which begin next week.  There were doubts as to whether the River Seine would be ready for the Olympics after it was revealed last month that it had failed water quality tests.  But on Wednesday, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo and other members of the Paris Olympic committee went into the Seine to prove that it was safe to swim in.
